Micro Infantry
« on: December 31, 2011, 10:37:43 AM »
Noticed the site is rather lacking on micro infantry that isn't Russian or Canadian, so i'll be putting some up.
Starting off, gonna be just putting basic Section/Squads up, with a few specialized teams (MMG, AT, Mortar, etc) every now and then, then i'll be focusing on the specialized teams.

To Be Added:
Swedish
French
Italian
Mexican
Australian
Chinese
Japanese
Danish
Norwegian
German
+Plus any others on request

One other thing; if anyway has info on German Military structure (Squad/Section, platoon, etc organisation) it would be appreciated. Wikipedia is usually good for structure but in this case its not.  :(

Well, I know the Norwegian and Swedish military organization is heavily inspired (or as in Norway, more or less stolen xD) so my guess would be 8 men per squad formed around one or two MGs (one with infantry/falschirmjager/jagers and two with panzergrenadiers?) with three of these forming a platoon led by a four-man platoon command team (LT, Oberfeldwebel/Hauptfeldwebel/ and RTO plus medic or sumtin'). The rest is easy to find on wikipedia and such :)
It would appear to be four platoons of panzergrenadiers per company instead of three as in other services, though I don't know if you care about that  :D
Hope this helps

Everything I have is from 2006 or so. The German Army is going through a reorganization right now so even the stuff you might find will be out dated soon.

Keep in mind before folks tell me how wrong this is. I know it is old. I figure it might help get her started.

Brigade (Light)
- Staff/Services Company
- Training Company
- Reserve/Replacement Company

- 3x Light Infantry Company, ea:
     \- 3x Infantry Platoon, ea:
          \- Platoon Command Team
          \- Driver Team (4x Fuchs, 4x MG3 ?)
          \- 3x Infantry Squad (9 men, 2x MG4 ea)
     \- Company Command Squad
          \- Command Team (1x Fuchs?)
          \- Staff Team (presumed)
          \- "4th Platoon"

               \- 2x Sniper Team
               \- 40mm GMG Team (1x Wolf, 1x GMG)
- Fire Support Company
     \- Autocannon Platoon
          \- 3x Autocannon Squad (2x Wiesel / 20mm ea)
     \- Anti-Tank Platoon
          \- 3x Anti-Tank Squad (2x Wiesel / TOW ea)
